In response to recent inquiries about the film documentary based on “Blood
Stained: When No One Comes Looking” [Non-fiction; ISBN: 1432738242] author
Dory Maust has made the following statement:

“There has been some speculation that the project has been scrapped and that’s
not the case. In saying that, I won’t deny that there have been some foreseeable
and also unforeseeable obstacles in our way.

“First and foremost, I am not a film producer and I learned very quickly in the first
few segments that I need to employ someone more knowledgeable in production
for this to work. I’m still looking for that someone.

“Second, there have been a few alternative avenues suggested which take a great
deal of time to pursue and possibly bring to fruition. I’m talking six months to a
year or more given the nature of the film industry. Scaling forty or more hours of
footage down to ninety minutes or two hours takes a lot of time and thought.

“Third and last, the book is still new and exploring its niche. As stated on my FAQ’s
page, it was my first non-fiction work. I’m extremely pleased with its progress but
also cautious about prematurely sideswiping attention from the book with a film
right now.”

Mrs. Maust urges patience and promises to maintain regular updates on the
status of the documentary via her website: www.dorymaust.com.
