Inside the Grande Isle Sheriffs Department, Gill was being held with a
$250,000 bond. He was charged with one count of murder in the first
degree, and the premeditated murder of fifty-three others. Due to the
serious nature of the crime, the FBI had taken over the investigation
with the full cooperation of the local authorities. Gill was suspected of
terrorist activities. Nervous and confused, Gill waited for someone to
show up inside the interrogation room. He was hungry, cold, and
