When Dory first shared with me her idea about writing Blood Stained, I thought it would definitely make for a good
read.  Never in my thoughts did I expect this book to be such an emotional and painful experience for Dory to endure.

Taking this journey with Dory has shown me that she is emotional, sensitive, loving, caring and a true pillar of
strength.  In the beginning of this journey of David Maust’s life I had mixed emotions. I initially despised the man that
he was for the horrific creature that he was for taking the lives of the young men.  As the journey progressed and I got
to know David through Dory’s writings and his own words, I felt sorrow.  I wanted to embrace him; I truly believe that
he left his hell on earth never knowing what it felt like to be loved.

My condolences to the families who lost their sons at such an early age.   My prayers are that you read this book with
an open heart and mind and realize that while we all know that David was guilty  and deserved punishment for his
actions, the judicial system not only failed David, but it also failed you and your young loved ones.

May everyone find peace.
