"I think every parent should read this book so they can be made aware of what could happen not only in how they
raise their children but be sure they know who their kids are hanging around with. I wonder if there could have
been anything that could have "turned the tide" so to speak for David? I like to think so, but guess we could be

my neck stood on end because I truly felt like I was inside David’s head. Other books I have read on serial killers
have been great with facts, details and creative writing, but the eerie psychological plane Mrs. Maust used in
narrating most of her book overwhelmed all of those other aspects and left me enthralled. It’s strange and

he was a monster, I felt great empathy for him. This book made me analyze everything that I taught my own
children. David Maust could have been a great asset to society and what scares me about this book is that it could
so easily happen to anyone. I have read many books about serial killers and this author was one of the best at
making the reader understand the mindset of David Maust."

victims, I was shocked when he was arrested in 2003. I didn't know any of the victims, but my home town was in
an uproar and I stayed abreast of any new development in the news. I used to be an avid reader, and I'm sorry to
say that with life being as busy as it's been, that slipped to the back of my priorities. "Blood Stained" changed that.
